Bake Sale Fundraiser for Udruga Domine

The Foreign Business Owners Association Split - Dalmatia (FBOA) is gearing up for an event that promises to be both delicious and impactful. On Saturday, March 23, from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM, FBOA will host a bake sale fundraiser in front of SmartSpace Coworking at Tončićeva ulica 3 in Split's city center. The event aims to raise funds for Udruga Domine, a non-profit organization dedicated to advocating for women's rights, gender equality, and serving as an autonomous crisis center for victims of domestic violence.

Members of FBOA and the Split community are invited to contribute their own homemade baked goods, which attendees can take home in exchange for a donation. The bake sale will feature a variety of treats, from traditional favorites to innovative creations, all made with love and care.

In addition to the bake sale, there will be live entertainment provided by the vocal ensemble Oštrokondže, who will perform traditional folklore songs at noon. The event promises to be a fun-filled day for all ages, with something for everyone to enjoy.

To support the cause, community members can visit the bake sale on March 23, donate, and take home something tasty. They can also help by spreading the word about the fundraiser to their colleagues, family, and friends. Those who are unable to attend the event in person can still contribute by making a direct donation to Udruga Domine through the provided banking information.

The association's strategy involves representing the interests of its members, facilitating communication with local authorities, and addressing any challenges that arise. They actively engage with the foreign business owner community, sharing essential information, and collaborating with international associations. Together, they are building bridges and shaping a thriving business landscape in Split-Dalmatia.

Oštrokondže

The female vocal ensemble Oštrokondže, founded in 2015 in Split, is composed of young women from diverse backgrounds who share a passion for traditional singing. The ensemble's primary mission is to preserve Croatian traditional songs, particularly those from Dalmatia, Dalmatian Zagora, and Croats from Bosnia and Herzegovina. Their repertoire comprises 90 percent of Adriatic and Dinaric region songs, with the remaining 10 percent originating from other Croatian regions. They aim to highlight the often-neglected folklore and heritage of Dalmatia and Dalmatian Zagora, which are underrepresented in mainstream media compared to northern and eastern Croatia. The ensemble's goal is to inspire younger generations to appreciate and continue this tradition. They are especially proud of the FINNS festival, an event dedicated to non-arranged folklore songs, which debuted in Solin in August 2019, aiming to reintroduce this forgotten tradition to the public.
